Vergil’s Aeneid in Translation - Fall 2025 - Registration
Tuesdays and Thursdays (10-10:30 am Pacific // 1-1:30 pm Eastern), September 2 — November 20
Mosaic of the poet Vergil and the muses Clio (history) and Melpomene (tragedy), originally discovered in modern day Tunisia.
In this class, we will read and discuss the great Roman epic, Vergil’s Aeneid, in its entirety. Each half-hour long class will be devoted to half a chapter (chapters are called books - 12 in total) and we will use the forthcoming Scott McGill and Susannah Wright translation. Class will include discussions of the text and ancient mythology, explorations into ancient history, and student generated creative work. As space in class is limited, please complete registration by August 20th to reserve a spot in class.

- Duration: 12 weeks - 24 half-hour long classes
- Frequency + Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-10:30am Pacific (1-1:30pm Eastern), September 2-November 20th
